Grease is the word!

Dana amazed us in HCTG's production of "Grease". The play was a blend of the movie, Broadway play and the director's creativity. With 50+ cast members, some lines and songs had to be added to give each person a chance to shine. 3 months of practice, practice, and more practice was worth it when we saw the end result. All of the cast did an amazing job!

Cliff spent hours drawing the set. A lot of the parents spent Mother's Day painting the set. I realized too late that paint comes off of every body part except the bottom of the feet. There are still some blue spots!!
Opening night brought the usual jitters, but everyone overcame them and performed their hearts out. Dana sang and danced like never before! The second performance was even better. Nerves were calmer and the cast really gave their all and was comfortable in their roles. Wow, did they shine!!!!
As the cast arrived for the third performance looking very tired. We had gotten to bed at 1 a.m. and had to be up at 6:45 a.m. so we were dragging too! I was afraid that the play wasn't going to go as smooth with an over exausted cast and crew- and, of course, that was the show the entire family was coming to. Boy was I wrong!!!! These kids transformed from tired and cranky to simply amazing the second the curtains opened. They were great!!!
The day after.......No school for Dana and no work for Candy......we slept until 10:45 a.m. which is huge for the family that normally considers sleeping until 7:00 sleeping in. Cliff pulled it together enough to go to work though we haven't figured out how he did it.
