This is how my week began...Dana had a full-blown asthma attack Sunday night. The doctor was able to get it under control so we avoided an ER visit. We went to the specialist 1st thing Monday morning. He examined Dana and prescribe a few new meds to be taken short-term. Not bad...Not bad at all....Then the doctor turned to my husband and asked what he was doing about his asthma. Cliff said that he doesn't have asthma. The doctor disagreed and had him schedule an appointment for Monday afternoon.....Cliff has officially been diagnosed with adult onset asthma. He was also tested for allergies. Of the 47 things they tested him for, he is allergic to 46! Nice! Doctor told him to not bother getting rid of the cat, which is one of his allergies because there is no way he could get rid of the other 45 allergy triggers (trees, grass, dust, pollen, EVERYTHING!!!)

Oh Joy! Dana is currently on 6 medications (will be lowered to 4 in the next few days) and Cliff is on 8, yes I said 8, asthma and allergy drugs. So for now I am keeping track of schedules and doses for 14 different prescriptions and looking forward to the day when it goes down to a managable 12. Cliff was given the option to do the allergy injection treatment- it takes 3 to 5 years of weekly allergy shots! Hmmm.....I wonder if he will do them. Not!

I was hoping that this blog page would highlight our adventures, but this is reality. This is my life. Doctor visits, medications, pharmacy trips, and monitoring doses.
